When mint and how much ADA?

We are aiming for a February launch of the alpha phase of the Big Bang stage, Novas will be available at 100 ADA.

Can anyone support the project?

Sure! One of our goals is to apply a community-first approach. We will frequently reach for feedback on the different stages of the project, crafting the experience with you, the community.

You can also help us by promoting the project on social media, helping out new members, engaging with the community, and more. If you have any other ideas on how you can support us feel free to reach out.

What is the art style(s) being considered for this game?

We are currently doing a lot of concept art exploration regarding this matter, we are sure we are going to be using PBR (Physically Based Rendering), whether it’s stylized or not, that’s still on the table. Community feedback is really important for us, so we’ll be sharing some stuff later expecting feedback.

Is this game a turn-based game or real-time game or…? Please compare to an existing known game or a blend of games?

The gameplay will be in real-time, some of the mechanics can be compared to xNova, but we are aiming to provide unique mechanics that set us apart. Initially, exploration and trading should be core to the game experience. We have lots of ideas and things we would like to implement, and different mechanics/elements will be incorporated into the metaverse gradually.

Are there plans to launch a utility token for the game?

We currently don’t have any plans to do so.

Is it a 24/7/365 MMORPG type of game? A true metaverse that one can drop in and out of as the universe persists. Across the universe?

The metaverse will be persistent, you will be able to jump in and out as much as you want. We don’t expect you to be playing 24/7, (we take player wellbeing very seriously).

What is the overall timeline of phases of implementation?

The Big Bang stage is expected to end by Q2 2022, and then we will be able to provide a more accurate timeline of the next stages of the project.

What is the end goal of the project leaders? What are you wanting to achieve ultimately?

Scratch that itch of making a space game :) In a more serious manner, we expect to create a self-sustainable project that everyone can enjoy where people can rediscover that sense of exploration and feel a strong community.

To create an immersive universe driven by players’ actions with incremental feature enhancements. To become a bridge between traditional players and blockchain enthusiasts, easing the transition to web3 technologies. To fulfill our deepest dreams of space exploration and planet discovery.

How big is the team at the current time and are there plans to grow the team?

The core team is composed of three founders collaborating with some external hires. Currently, there are 7 people working on the project, and while we may feel we have the technical prowess to make the product come to life, the short-term intention is to grow the team.

Are there plans to provide utility for NFTs in the game or even outside of the game?

The NFTs will have utility inside the game, be it an advantage over other players or merely a cosmetic upgrade. We are looking into other utilities our tokens may have in and outside the metaverse.

What are the founding team’s inspirations for this sci-fi venture? Grew up watching shows? Reading books? etc…

We really like space-themed stuff: Star Trek, Star Wars, Futurama, Battlestar Galactica, etc. Some of our favorite sci-fi books: Isaac Asimov literature, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

Perhaps I’m misunderstanding the way things work, but after reading the litepaper I couldn’t work out how Seers, who have acquired a Nova, collect tax from the Xers that are collecting resources from Exos. Is a percentage of the HRM/MICO gained by each Xer automatically sent to the Seer for that Nova based on a tax amount that the Seer has set?

Yes, that is basically how it’ll work, the Xer mining activity will result in raw materials that need to be refined. Part of the obtained unrefined resource will be sent to the Nova’s Seer as a fee.

Upgrading the Novas will take lots of resources, so having the Enclave pay a tax in order to upgrade the Nova’s technological capabilities makes sense for us. However, the number of fees collected by the Seer and the final destination of those will create an open competition over attracting Xers to be part of a Nova.

Will every Nova contain multiples of all four types of Exo classes?

As you may expect, the distribution of most elements in the Novaverse (Exos among those) will be made procedurally, expect each Nova to have all four types of Exos within parameters, but with varying distributions.

What is the benefit of a Xer minting an Exo if the Seer is the one that receives the tax from resources mined? Does the Xer that minted the Exo receive more of the resources from the Exo than any other Xer who has traveled to that Exo to collect resources?

There are different advantages to minting Exos and those vary depending on the Exos’ class.

In class M Exos, you will be able to establish your settlements and develop social and economical activities that will be revealed with time.

On the other classes, you will gain the power to build a mining outpost allowing you to extract resources without having your SEV orbiting the Exos. That’s a huge advantage especially considering that resources can be temporarily depleted. Additionally, owners will always have priority when mining an Exo.

Since this is a free-to-play and play-to-earn with only the advanced SEVs available for purchase, I am concerned about the sustainability of the project. Do we have a brief and concise explanation as to how the project will incentivize players after a one-time purchase of advanced SEV that will earn indefinitely in the game?

Advanced SEVs will not be the only things that will be available for purchase, while we may have some core entities defined in our roadmap, more content can be added later. With a one-time purchase of an SEV you will not earn indefinitely in the game, you have to actually play it. Several mechanics will be added incrementally to the game that will enhance the game experience.

Project sustainability comes from the community that comes after it and from the free to play experience that attracts new players. There are several ways to make the project sustainable (i.e. adding cosmetics, new playable content etc.).

Can a Seer mint an Exo the same way as a Xer does? And if this is the case, does that mean that a Seer is essentially a Xer that collects tax from all other Xers in that Nova?

Seers are players too, so they can mint Exos and do everything Xers can. They have the responsibility of having an entire Nova to watch for and develop using the collected tax.

How will the intergalactic graph be created/composed?

The intergalactic graph will distribute the Novas spatially in a three-dimensional array randomly, assuring they connect with at least another Nova. This will incur in some Novas will have better positioning and more graphs.

The intergalactic graph will be also constructed once all Novas are minted. It will itself be a CNFT stored in a master wallet as a guarantee of immutability.

The amount of connection that a given Nova has in the graph is also an important property of the gameplay since intergalactic jumps are only available between directly connected Novas. The bigger the cluster the easier intergalactic exploration gets.

Is Novaseers collaborating with any other projects?

Not at the moment, but we are open to collaborations.
